Universal General Contractors specializes is residential remodeling construction.  We do not do any new construction home builds.  However we do build from the ground up on properties where there are existing structures. 

UGC also remodels kitchens, bathrooms or any room in your home.  Projects can range from a face lift of a room to moving interior walls (non-structural or structural), moving plumbing and electrical, drywall, flooring, cabinetry, counters (Formica®, Corian®, Granite, etc.), installing new baseboards, crown molding, the list is only limited by your imagination.  Speaking of imagination, do you need more room in your home, a new or bigger garage, a covered patio or do you need to enlarge or enclose your current patio?  If so, we have built porches, patios, patio enclosures, additions, garages, etc. 

UGC works with our clients from conception, through engineering, permitting and construction to provide the remodel envisioned.  During our initial meeting we work with the client to determine their current needs, while also determining future additions.  We then work with the client to clearly define the scope of work to be done and provide the proposed job costing.  We continue to monitor the scope of the project throughout the duration of the project and keep our clients involved to meet their specific expectations. 

Unfortunately with remodeling, unknowns can occur.  The worst of these unknowns is mold.  If mold is found, it is important to take care of it properly, so you can feel safe in your home as well as when you sell your home you will be able to provide the necessary paperwork to prove the problem was taken care of properly on your disclosure form (SPDS).  We are very familiar with mold issues and work closely with mold remediation and test firms to properly address any issues regarding mold.  If you believe you have a mold problem due to roof leaks, bathroom or kitchen leaks and don’t know who to call, we can work with you through the mold remediation process and then to rebuild after the remediation process is completed.
